Garland Brothers
Plant City, Florida
c. 1930's

The Garland Brothers introduced a unique concept for adding action to their topwater lures — they combined a wooden body with a cork head. The result was a very buoyant plug with a lively surface action.

Their claim of "Big Fish — More Fish" was proven publicly when a Garland lure won the prestigious "Big Bass Award" in a 1936 Field & Stream Fishing Contest.

Pictured below are variations of body styles and box graphics. We are always interested in adding to this collection.
