Johnny Marsh received his introduction to lure making from the master, Dick Porter. As a young man, Marsh worked part time finishing and painting lures for the Porter Bait Company. In the mid to late1950's, he founded the Marsh Bait Company, whose trademark read, "Marsh Makes Better Baits."
