Tampa Bait And Tackle Company
Tampa, Florida
c. 1937

The apparent successor to the Dazzy Vance Lure Company, this small, short-lived operation utilized the same basic lure and box designs. In fact, several examples of Dazzy Vance lures have been found in Tampa Bait & Tackle packaging, suggesting they sold off any remaining stock.

The lure pictured below is called the Angle Frog. It is the likely predecessor to the famous Dalton Special. It features an unusual treatment of the eyes (one is positioned on the belly of the lure). The cedar box was likely sourced through Tampa-area cigar box manufacturers.

These are the actual papers found in the wooden cedar box above.
