Blessed with an abundance of gamefish and a year-round season, it's not surprising Florida's lure makers played a significant role in the evolution of artificial baits. Whether they were handmade by individual craftsmen, or factory produced, their unique characteristics set them apart from the offerings of the larger northern manufacturers.
